Badly News: 14th September, 2015

Hey there ladies and gentlemen, Welcome back to Badly.Productions, there have been a few changes to the site recently as I’m sure you can see. I want to take a moment to explain these changes and why they are happening. For a while now, Badly.Productions has been rather scattered in it’s focus. Well, I say scattered, …

Mangamania: Kamen Rider Spirits

Welcome back to Mangamania and it’s time for Mangamania’s contribution to the 45th anniversary of Kamen Rider with my review of Kamen Rider Spirits, a manga series based off the Showa Era of Kamen Rider, starring every single Showa Era Kamen Rider before Kamen Rider Black. It’s a manga that honors the Showa Era of Kamen Rider in a way that many Heisei Era Writers, like Shoji Yonemura of the Kamen Rider Taisen Films, failed to do. It’s a series that is dark, yet hopeful. New, yet familiar. A series about Heroes that come to the aid of the people in their time of need. A legacy of Masked Heroes. They are the Kamen Riders. Here we talk about my second favorite Manga series of all time.

All New First Issues #16

Hello, my little fishies and welcome to All New First Issues, the weekly #1 comic review show. These are the new comics from June 15, 2016. To sum up, Civil War II tie-ins are pointless to Civil War 2, Vote Loki may be the stupidest thing I’ve read that isn’t strictly a meme, Han Solo was talky when it didn’t need to be, the Indie Scene is great as usual and then the slew of DC #1s made me realize that they’re plowing through these relaunches fast in the best way so hallelujah! Also major update, this will be the last super big massive All New First Issues. Next week starts All Different First Issues where it’s a Top 5 comics that got released.

All New First Issues #15

Hello once again to a 5 AM version of All New First Issues! This week we’ve get to see just how disappointed I can be without officially disliking anything. Civil War II continues with tie-ins that are either pointless or irrelevant to the story being conveyed in Civil War II. DC Rebirth continues with Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash with them being eh alright but nothing to write home about. Wow, I really think I may have a very short list of Quickies this week cause most of these were nothing too good or too bad. But there are definitely some exceptions.

Anime Kenkai: Fan-Exploitation and Me

Good day class, today is going to be our lecture day and unfortunately I’ve chosen a bit of a heavy topic for us to start with. It’s the meaning of “Fan Service” or more what it should be called “Fan Exploitation”. I know, I know, this is something everyone has an opinion on and everyone wants to discuss what to do and what not to do, but please pay attention to what I have to say. It’s one more opinion for you to hear and to think on and the faster we go over this, the sooner we can move on to something a little more light-hearted for us. So get comfortable and lets get this over with.

Tokyo Transmission : Final Cut – Myriad Colours Phantom World

Greetings! It’s Winter my fellow readers! It’s finally Winter! If you couldn’t tell, Winter has always been my favourite season, and it’s finally decided to roll around and consider getting colder, because franky it could try harder. Enough about Winter though, welcome back once again as I sit down and decode some of these Tokyo Transmissions straight from Japan! This week I finished off Myriad Colours Phantom World and…well…I guess you’ll have to read it. Wrap up and get some hot chocolate, let’s get right into it.
