Biography

Brothers and sisters, I am Andy Frogman, AKA The Priest Of Gamers. Please forgive me if the moniker comes off as lofty, but it was not a title of my choosing. For a few years now I've been known by many under that name, because I made it my duty to serve the gaming community, and attempt to heal rifts between fellow gamers. For that work, a number of people said I was like some kind of priest. A priest of gamers.     I have a passion for video games, Nintendo games especially, and the amazing gaming community, and it breaks my heart to see the rifts caused by internal disputes, trivialities and oppressive social politics, censorship and manufactured outrage. Games developers should have the right to create the game that they want to make, and not be forced to add to it, or take away anything that was not a part of their vision. On the flip side, the consumer has the right to purchase, or not purchase any game they wish, without fear of ridicule or guilt and shaming tactics from the perpetually offended. If you don't like a game, don't buy it. It doesn't give you the right to take it away. Despite my strong political opinions, I try not to include it in my regular articles, though I will point out wrong doing, censorship and hypocrisy as it arises in my Let Us Play series. A news project, the title of which derived from a play on words for the call to prayer "Let Us Pray" and a rebellious demand to those who would happily revoke our rights to play games, to stand down and Let Us Play! I'm also working on developing a number of other irregularly updated projects: Pixelvision - Lists and trivia Relics - A look at old gaming hardware Articles of Faith (working title) - Opinion/Editorial pieces related to gaming. Remember my friends, "Priest" isn't a title of power or authority. First and foremost it's a testament of service, to ones god, and that god's people. In this sense, I serve the Perfect Game, I study the works of it's prophets, and I try my best to bring goodness to it's community. Peace and High Scores to you all!

Let Us Play: 2016-04-11

Well met brothers and sisters, may the blessings of the game be upon you! I am your humble missionary from the Church of the Game, Andy Frogman, AKA the Priest of Gamers! I’ve said this in the past, everything I write is in a constant state of development, each week I look for ways to improve and cut the fat. My focus has always been on Nintendo, and I can’t see that changing, so I wonder if I should only focus on Nintendo, and replace “Let Us Play” with “Big N Breakdown”. Then something happens, like what’s happened with Blizzard in the past few days, and I realise, that it’s not just something I can talk about, but something I SHOULD talk about. This week I’m looking at guns, The Legend of Zelda, and Nostalrius.

Well met brothers and sisters, may the blessings of the game be upon you! I am your humble missionary from the Church of the Game, Andy Frogman, AKA the Priest of Gamers! I said last week was challenging, but this week has brought a bunch of big news controversies, and honestly, I really don’t know where to start. As I mentioned on my Facebook page, I don’t want to go into the Alison Rapp debacle, and the Buttroversy is the definition of non-news. So instead I’m leaving those topics be, and we’re focusing on Social advancement in the west, Korea and Bill Clinton’s cat? Are we suddenly in the 90s? Sure… why not?

Well met brothers and sisters, may the blessings of the game be upon you! I am your humble missionary from the Church of the Game, Andy Frogman, AKA the Priest of Gamers! The news this week has been challenging to say the least, contract law is not something that’s easy to understand for the layman. Today we’re going to be looking at Hyrule Warriors Legends DLC packs, Ark: Survival Evolved, Star Fox Zero, and more!

Welcome back brothers and sisters, to more news from this past week in the gaming world. I am Andy Frogman AKA The Priest of Gamers, and today we’re delving into more news from Hyrule Warriors Legends, Mario Maker, Bravely Second, and finally the answer to that enigmatic message from Sonic Team. Let me just stop you there… please don’t your hopes up.

This weeks update is a little longer than I was expecting, I ended up just writing and writing without paying attention to my word count. I’ve cut this weeks news down a little, but I’m still hovering st just over three thousand words, to please bear with me.

With that said, I’m not going to beat around the bush with a long introduction, so dear siblings, Let Us Play…
