TableTopical News: April 3, 2015

titilecard_TableTopical_012Hello and welcome to TableTopical News for April 3, 2015. In this edition: The release of the Khorne Daemonkin, and Adeptus Mechanicus information.

GW has released information about the Adeptus Mechanicus, including Force organisation charts, rules for units and pictures of the models. The Adeptus Mechanicus are the primary technological guardians of the Imperium, and bring with them a host of robots, servitors and cybernetically enhanced warriors  to the fray.

The brand new units include Sicarian Ruststalkers, Sicarian Infilrators, some type of Sentinel-type walker and the Onager Dunecrawler, a walker that bears a resemblance to the Chaos Defiler.

In other news, the Khorne Daemonkin Codex was released, offering new options for those Chaos Hordes looking to get a little red and bloody with their killing. Featuring 120 pages of fluff, army organisation, special formations and pictures, the Codex utilises a special rule titled ‘Blood for the Blood God’, in which Blood Tithe points are collected as units die on the tabletop. These points go up to a maximum of 8, and can be redeemed each turn for various bonuses, ranging from Indomitable will, to feeling no pain, to, at the highest level, having one of your characters become a Bloodthirster of Unfettered Fury!

That’s all the news we have time for, but join us next week for another edition of TableTopical News.

  • I saw a bunch of Adaptus Mechanicus minis on the forge world catalogue. There were so many of them it’s cool that they are actually supporting the army now. Well… until the Emperor dies, and the galaxy is caught in a warp storm that kills all the Space Marines, and forces the Squats, Eldar, Tau and Imperium to work together as a single army, all living in microcosm craft worlds in the warp. No I’m not bitter about Warhammer Fantasy at all.
